5/3 Is Taking On Chicago
Fifth Third Bank is looking to expand its operations as it looks to head west and increase the current market share it has in Chicago. Based out of Cincinnati, this bank is looking to get even bigger and in more control of what the city has to offer. The thing is looking to do more than anything else is to drastically move up from being the number 8 bank in the area. It currently holds a 2.8 percent of the market share and they would like to see that increase dramatically.
How They Are Doing This
Well they are taking a new approach and are looking at a change in strategy by sending in one of their bigger and more established vice presidents to run operations out there. Starting with an increased visual presence and then moving on to becoming more of a factor locally and throughout a number of different communities in the area. Once this is done, there will be a number of different opportunities that will begin to arise even more so in these rough financial times. This will not only improve their business, but will also lead to potential job growth as well as they move into the city and become a bigger player.
No matter what it is that they are looking to accomplish and the total amount of growth that is expected, this is a good thing for those that are looking for some type of sign that the economy is getting better and that jobs will return. People are hoping that this will become a starting point of things to come.
